ABOUT THE AMBASSADOR
Learn with care, engage with reverence, and carry living culture forward in your own voice.
A CULTURAL BRIDGE
Miko Culture Ambassadors are cultural storytellers who share the depth and beauty of miko culture and Japanese heritage in alignment with the association’s mission. Learning and direct experience become stories shared through social media, events, and everyday conversation.
Visibility is secondary to responsibility. Ambassadors respect the people and places that sustain tradition while opening gentle pathways for younger generations and global audiences.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY
The Miko Culture Ambassador program does not replace the duties or religious role of shrine miko. It is a cultural communication title for participants who learn the context and share its value responsibly.
Ambassadors respect the customs and communication policies of each shrine, always following local guidance first.
OUR PROMISE
Practical standards that protect cultural integrity and build lasting trust.
Understand meaning and context before sharing, moving beyond surface-level representation.
Follow photography, publication, and attribution rules with care for shrines and practitioners.
Avoid exaggeration and communicate verified understanding in clear, personal language.
Create enduring interest and connection—not attention that disappears after one post.
THE ASSOCIATION
Guided by its principle of creating opportunities to encounter Japanese culture, the association opens pathways into dance, festivals, sacred rites, craft, and other living traditions.
Its work is intended to cultivate the heart through culture and connect inherited aesthetics and ways of living with contemporary life and the future.
