PROGRAM DESIGN
Learn about culture and introduce verified information and insights from experience in your own words through social media or other channels. The examples below show what you could learn and share across the six activities, and how a cultural story develops.
The activities below are planned. Content, timing, and participation conditions may change in coordination with cultural partners.
Sharing culture with audiences abroad through social media is separate from overseas travel, assignments, or performances. Appointment does not guarantee overseas travel or performance opportunities.

FROM LEARNING TO SHARING
An example of how learning can become a cultural story. Check each activity notice for its actual content and participation conditions.
Find a theme that interests you. Check each activity notice for dates, location, participation format, and costs.
Learn the context through official materials and cultural practitioners. Respect the organizer’s or instructor’s guidance during visits and experiences.
Check before taking photographs, and confirm permission to publish images or quotations before posting. Verify names, dates, and other facts.
Use photographs and writing to distinguish what you learned from your impressions. Direct interested readers to official information.
APPLICATION TO ACTIVITIES
Selection and activities after appointment are shown separately. Dates reflect the current plan.
OCTOBER–NOVEMBER 2026
A second intake is now open for approximately 14 days. Social media reviews and online interviews begin during the application period, with final selection for both intakes planned in Tokyo in the latter half of November.
AFTER SELECTION
The Japan Cultural Heritage Association makes selection decisions and appointments. Review the guidance for starting activities.
AROUND JANUARY 2027 (PLANNED)
The term is planned as one year in principle. Check the association’s guidance for specific activities, participation formats, and frequency.
PROGRAM SUPPORT
Program guidance covers cultural context, photography and publication care, language, and the everyday practice of gesture, breath, and courtesy. Ambassadors are encouraged to pause and confirm rather than publish with uncertainty.
