The Japan Cultural Heritage Association limits collection to what is necessary, states the purpose clearly, and handles personal information in line with applicable law and guidance.

Information we collect

For application alerts, we collect the email address, display language, consent time, and registration time. This alert does not currently collect names, addresses, or application information.

For partnership enquiries, we collect the organization name and type, contact name, email address, region, preferred timing, purpose, message, display language, consent time, and submission time.

First-party site measurement records visited paths, selected key actions, display language, and time. It does not include names or email addresses and does not use cookies to track individuals.

The hosting provider may process access logs where necessary for security and reliable operation.

How information is used

To notify the registered address when Miko Culture Ambassador recruitment, the final guide, or the application form becomes available.

To review, respond to, communicate about, and manage partnership enquiries from shrines, cultural sites, municipalities, communities, companies, educational institutions, media, and related organizations.

To understand aggregate site use and improve findability, application journeys, and display quality.

To prevent misuse, respond to incidents, maintain security, and answer valid requests for access, correction, suspension, or deletion.

Third parties and processors

Personal data is not provided to third parties without consent unless permitted or required by law.

Where email delivery, hosting, storage, or related work is entrusted to a service provider, access is limited to what is necessary and the provider is selected and overseen appropriately.

Retention and safeguards

Information is retained only for as long as needed for the stated purpose and is appropriately deleted when no longer required.

We work to prevent unauthorized access, loss, leakage, alteration, or damage through proportionate organizational and technical controls.

Access, correction, deletion, and opt-out

Requests to confirm, correct, suspend, or delete registration data—or stop the application alert—will be handled appropriately after identity verification and in accordance with applicable law.

Application alert emails will include a dedicated link for stopping future alerts.
