CULTURAL PARTNERSHIP

For Shrines, Municipalities & Organizations

Thoughtful collaboration connecting cultural stewards, communities, and wider society.

CULTURE LIVES THROUGH CONNECTION

Connecting cultural stewards with the people who will carry their stories forward.

The Miko Culture Ambassador program becomes more meaningful through the understanding and cooperation of shrines, cultural sites, municipalities, communities, companies, and educational institutions. We do not impose a fixed model; we listen first and shape practical collaboration around each place and its people.

The Miko Culture Ambassador is a cultural learning and communication program, not recruitment for shrine service as a miko.

WHO WE COLLABORATE WITH

Respectful collaboration, shaped for each partner.

An initial conversation does not assume implementation. We first consider purpose, cultural fit, and the most appropriate form of involvement.

01

SHRINES & CULTURAL SITES

Shrines & cultural sites

We shape cultural visits, learning opportunities, event collaboration, and storytelling around each site’s customs, permissions, and priorities.

02

MUNICIPALITIES & COMMUNITIES

Municipalities & communities

We help share local heritage and community stories thoughtfully with younger generations and audiences in Japan and abroad.

03

COMPANIES & INSTITUTIONS

Companies & institutions

We explore sponsorship, skilled support, educational programs, and communications that align cultural succession with meaningful social value.

WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Ways we can work together.

These are examples. Every collaboration is shaped around local context, timing, capacity, and cultural considerations.

01

LEARNING

Cultural learning

Visits, talks, etiquette, and contextual learning create an informed and respectful entry point into living culture.

02

STORYTELLING

Local storytelling

With prior confirmation and permission, we share cultural value through web, social, film, and live experiences.

03

CO-CREATION

Programs & events

We co-create cultural events and next-generation initiatives with a clearly agreed purpose, scope, and division of roles.

04

SUPPORT

Operational support

Venues, transport, expertise, production, communications, and sponsorship can all help sustain meaningful activity.

Reverence is the starting point.

OUR SHARED STANDARD

Four standards for every collaboration.

01

Reverence first

Cultural, spiritual, historical, and local context takes priority over spectacle or reach.

02

Clear permission and safety

Photography, publication, access, and participation rules are agreed before activity begins.

03

Accuracy and rights

We use confirmed information and clarify rights relating to names, images, film, and written content.

04

Cultural purpose

The program is not used for political activity or religious solicitation; its purpose is learning, communication, and succession.

PARTNERSHIP FLOW

From conversation to delivery.

We confirm stakeholder intent and cultural context carefully. No filming, publication, or delivery proceeds without agreement.

01

Enquiry

Share your purpose, place, timing, and the kind of involvement you are considering.

02

Conversation

We review cultural considerations, conditions, stakeholders, and on-site rules.

03

Plan & agreement

Scope, roles, costs, communications, and rights are clarified before a decision to proceed.

04

Delivery & review

The activity is delivered with care, then reviewed so learning can inform what comes next.
